Hi! I am Seda Erkman. What I teach or what I share is not things I learned from books. As I regularly attend trainings, practices and sessions that carry me to the depths of my existence, I share with you as the knowledge and awareness of existence become clear to me. This brings me closer to my own reality. I suggest you do the same. We learn from others what they know and their reality, which is a wonderful thing. Their knowledge and wisdom wakes us up, changes our perception, opens our minds. However, we can find our own reality only by actually walking on our path. You can't find your own path until you hit the road. Walking someone else's path will never get you any closer to your own, only walking your own path, however uncertain, will carry you closer to yourself. We think we should do this alone, and that's where we are wrong. The biggest investment I have made for myself is to work with and continue to work with my teachers who hold space and guide me. Only you can walk on your own path, but getting guidance from someone, who walks their own path and can hold space for you through trainings and sessions, is the biggest support you can give yourself. In fact, it can be the one thing that makes the difference between giving up and keep going. I come from a psychology background, holding my Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from Brown University, and my Master of Arts degree in Industrial/Organizational Psychology at New York University. I wanted to continue to deepen my understanding of the inner workings of the human psyche and how to be of help to others, so I attended a 3-year Gestalt Coaching Training Program. I have been doing private one-on-one coaching for years where I help my clients understand themselves, and overcome their anxiety and stress to live a more fulfilled and purposeful life. I am also a Yoga Alliance Certified Yoga Teacher with 13 years of professional teaching experience. With my background in psychology and coaching, I have been teaching yoga with the focus on regulating my students’ nervous system through using the body and the yoga poses, which resulted in me having a deeper understanding of the language of the body. I also joined Somatic Experiencing program to deepen my understanding of the Nervous System and its impact on the person. I am also a Reiki Master and Crystal Sonic Therapy Practitioner. I completed the Level 3 Advanced Shamanism Training with Scott Silverston Founder of Shamanic Spirit Medicine and in training for Healing our Ancestry. I facilitate one-on-one Shamanic Sound Healing sessions with Alchemy Crystal Singing Bowls based on the specific needs of my clients. With all the modalities I provide, I support my clients’ overall wellbeing, their mental, emotional, physical and energetic state, to help empower them to live more from their worth, and not from their wound. With holding my undergraduate and graduate degree in Psychology and a 3-year training in Gestalt Coaching, I help my clients see themselves from an observer’s stance, which allows them to stay with what they see with more equanimity. From that place of self-awareness, I empower and encourage them to get in touch with their true essence, to release the beliefs and thought patterns that no longer serve them, and accept who they are in totality, to embrace more of who they are and their uniqueness, and eventually guide them to open up to self-love and acceptance with better understanding and greater depth. We are all here for a specific reason, like the pieces of a puzzle.
