This is the first of many monthly yoga and sound bath events! This is a 3 hr event on Sunday, the 21st of September at 10:30am. We will start with 90 mins of yoga practice, take a 15 min break and then continue with an hour long sound bath with the Alchemy Crystal Singing bowls. It will be the best savasana you will ever have!
More about the Yoga session
“The idea of yoga is not to bring you to heaven, but to bring heaven to your body and your experience.”
The core idea of yoga is about cultivating a sense of peace, well-being, and spiritual awareness within oneself, essentially making one's own experience a more heavenly one. This involves aligning the mind, body, and spirit through various practices, ultimately aiming for a state of inner harmony and liberation.
Yoga is a tool to open the mind and body, bringing transformation.
On the mat, we play with our limits and test our edges. We get to experience physical and mental limits in different yoga poses, called asanas. We discover how we approach these limits and how we react when we reach them. We notice the changes in our breath as it holds a mirror to our inner workings.
It is a physical and mental practice for self-understanding through which we confront our limits and transcend them. It helps us become aware of our physical and mental blocks, and when practiced consistently, it opens our binds and blockages, bringing physical and mental transformation. In my yoga sessions, I aim to share my own understanding and appreciation of yoga, which at its core is about ‘the on-going transformation of self’.
In the 90 min yoga practice, we practice a sequence of asanas from simple to complex poses to prepare both the nervous and the muscular system. They are designed to help you do the physical poses safely, keeping in mind the human anatomy and your personal physical needs and states.
As I will continue to do these session every month, each yoga session is open to all levels, yet they vary in their level of difficulty and also in the area of the body they focus on.
The session also includes a mindfulness topic which I integrate to the session, and the asana yoga practice will be designed to bring awareness to that topic through bodily experience in the yoga poses.
A regular yoga practice helps to build resilience and cultivate awareness both at mental and physical level. One can feel the benefits of the practice immediately, which are a calmer mind, physical vitality, long and easy breathing, feeling whole, and at peace. If you practice yoga regularly you will experience the reflections of these in a deeper sense in your body, self and life.
After the yoga session we will give a 15 min break and then get ready for the hour long sound bath session with the Alchemy Crystal Singing Bowls.
More about the Sound bath session
Sound healing supports the nervous system, balances the gut-brain axis, regulates the vagus nerve, and helps release trapped emotional frequencies stored in the body.
It retunes your body’s frequency returning your body’s vibrations to its natural state, as well as release emotional and energetic blockages to promote health, wellbeing and profound mental clarity.
The Alchemy Crystal Singing Bowls are designed for healing and wellbeing, having a transformational effect on any presenting imbalances within the mind, emotions, physical body and biofield.
Alchemy Crystal singing bowls are different from other singing bowls, due to their superior ability to hold vibrations. This gives them more intense reverberations and longer-lasting tones with several different harmonics and overtones and they produce a different quality of sound which is immediately apparent once they are played.
